Today’s list of free kids’ eBooks has some great books including a number of books that are new to my lists.
If you are new, take a minute to read through this necessary information about my lists:
- Don’t forget to check prices before downloading.
- You can read a Kindle eBook on non-Amazon devices by downloading their free app unto your PC or i-pad.
- This list only reflects my personal opinion.
- This blog uses affiliate Amazon links.
- If you want to read all about how I find these books, create these lists, and choose what to feature, read my FAQ on Finding Free EBooks.
Running with Snails by Jonathon Smuda
This picture book is a creative retelling of the traditional fable about the tortoise and the hare. In Running with Snails, a fast snail races a slow hare and finds out that before you brag you should be sure that you are not just racing against snails.
Snowy White World to Save by Stephanie Lisa Tara
This book is beautifully illustrated and formatted. While some people may disagree on some of the specific elements concerning global warming, the message about not littering and taking care of nature is wonderfully presented in a non-scary way.
Five Hungry Ghosts by Kari Brimhall
This picture book about five ghosts who accidentally change colors when eating some brightly colored foods has fun illustrations and great formatting.
You can find my list of recommended picture books on Amazon which includes not only the previous three books but a number of other books:
I also have a list of free novels for older kids:
Free Kids’ Novels
Thanks for reading today. I probably won’t write a list tomorrow because I am taking the kids to some local fall activities in the morning!

I love books that teach children something important, such as taking care of nature and not littering. I think literature is a great way to teach kids, being both informative and extremely fun.
Thanks so much…love these books. My wee girl is especially enjoying all the new books. Thanks for sharing.
