Be sure not to miss today’s best free eBooks:
Julio Bunny and the Pirate Ship by Nicoletta Costa
The Kite Reader books are some of the highest quality eBooks that are promoted for free. Be sure to download this cute book about a group of friends that decide to play pirate for the day. Unfortunately the boys decide that the girls can’t be pirates, but when the pirates end up marooned on an island they realize that letting the girls play along isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Uppity Owl Upcycles a Brooch by Monica Blas
Uppity Owl loves to upcycle discarded objects for his friends, when his friend the fish finds an old brooch Uppity knows exactly what to do with it. The text is a little small but this book is worth downloading for the cute illustrations and the wonderful lesson about being resourceful and not wasteful.
The Pirate and the Star by Michael Yu
This father and daughter author team have written several fun eBooks, and the illustrations are always great quality. In The Pirate and the Star a mother tells her child a short fairy tale about a marooned pirate.

Free Picture Books for Kids
Today, I also found twenty-one novels and chapter books for older kids. I don’t have time to read all these books, but I do try to exclude the lower quality free books and books with more mature themes as I notice them. Of particular interest today is a graphic novel which I marked on my list.
Please remember that many free books are self-published, so parents may want to use extra caution when giving these books to children to be sure that the books are age appropriate.
