I also am excited about a new picture book Joe & the Lightning Bug Adventure that has lovely illustrations.

My favorite free picture books today are:
Joe and the Lightning Bug Adventure by Brenda Nelson
From what I can tell, this picture book is Brenda Nelson’s first book, and she did a wonderful job. Stories about stuffed animals that come to life are always sweet, and the wonderful illustrations in this picture book make the story even sweeter. Hopefully, this book is just the beginning of what we will see coming from Nelson.
Rocket Boy Adventure Series Book Set 2 by Joy Findlay
I know that my preschool boy will be excited that we just downloaded a new set of Rocket Boy books today (plus several new Rocket Boy books that are listed on my list). He loves these simple books about a boy who travels to outer space and visits the planets.
