Today’s eBook list has a number of great titles on it that I know your kids will love. Today, you will find a puzzle book for preschoolers, several highly reviewed novels for elementary, middle grade, and young adult children, and a number of nice picture books. In other words, something for everyone.
Today, I have a Kindle tip for you. Did you know that you can return an eBook that you purchase from the Kindle Store? Yes, as learned yesterday when I accidentally paid $2.00 for a eBook that I didn’t want, you can go under “Manage your Kindle” and find the title that you accidentally purchased. If you then click on “Actions”, you will find an option to return for a refund. Click that and if your purchase was within 7 days, and your reason for return qualifies, you can return your book and get a refund.
Some answers to common questions:
- Don’t forget to check prices before downloading. These eBooks typically will remain free for only a short period of time.
- You can read a Kindle eBook on non-Amazon devices by downloading their free app unto your PC or i-pad.
- Although, I try to screen as much content as I can, I am not able to fully read and screen each book. This article reflects my opinion based on what I have seen. Download and share these books with your children at your own risk.
- If you want to get these lists while the books are still free, be sure to subscribe via my RSS feed for instant updates. Email subscribers will receive one email a day between 5-7 pm EST.

Today some of my favorite free eBook selections for kids were:
Darcy and the Bubble by Ann Ciarico
This picture book has cute illustrations and a fun, imaginative story about a little girl and her friends who travel via bubbles on an adventure.
Rocket Boy Zooming Through Space by Joy Findlay
These Rocket Boy books have nice illustrations and are the perfect length for a small child. I know that my preschooler will love this book, because yesterday he went on his own adventure to Mars. His adventure included a complete space outfit (complete with a berry bucket on his head) and a freezer gun that he used to freeze out the “flaming faucets.” My favorite part of the adventure was when he finished his quest and won the battle he told me that he would write about the adventure on his blog. And, his blog would be better than mine, because his blog was short and you could read it REAL FAST, whereas mine took a LOOOOOOONG time to read. Eighty people are going to read his blog. {ha ha}
Lionel’s Grand Adventure (Lionel and the Golden Rule) by Paul R. Hewlett
Any free eBook with 20 reviews and a 5 star rating deserves to be mentioned. One reviewer classified this chapter novel as being on a 7-10 year old level.
Off the Grid by En McNamara
This highly reviewed YA mystery looks promising. And one reviewer says, “no vampires.”
