Kindle for Kids Free EBook Daily

Today’s list has a couple great eBooks as well as a number of eBooks that aren’t “great” but at least are free. If anyone downloads the Mr. Postikit and the Fishing Derby book, I would be interested in hearing what you think of the bonus book at the end. In the bonus book, Mrs. Postikit makes sure everyone gets on time for church by making extra waffle batter to take to their homes for emergencies. I think that sounds a little creepy, but maybe I’m alone in my opinion . . .

My apologies to my readers who want to opt out of these extra emails and can’t. I’m actively working on trying to fix the subscribe function so that you can choose not to get these emails.

New Readers: Don’t forget to check prices before downloading. These eBooks typically will remain free for only a short period of time. Also, you can read a Kindle eBook on non-Amazon devices by downloading their free app unto your PC or i-pad. (For answers to other FAQ, read here.) Here are my favorite kid friendly eBooks that are available for free:

5 Sight Word Books For Beginning Readers (Volume 1) (I Love Reading)
5 Sight Word Books for Beginning Readers by Cindy Bracken
I know that you are all as excited as me to see another collection by Cindy Bracken available today. These books are short and well done, and I know I’ve heard great feedback about how much your kids love them.

An Introduction to Basic Astronomy Concepts (with Space Photos)
Basic Astronomy Concepts by Christ McMullen, Ph.D.
This eBook is actually written for older kids, but the photos are excellent and the quality looks great. I didn’t have time to read the whole book, but I did glance through the beginning.

Safari Stanley's Jungle Animals - Peek-A-Boo (Who's Behind the Bushes?) (Ages 0 - 3) (Baby Books Discovery & Play)
Safari Stanley’s Jungle Animals by Christopher Biggs
Toddlers will enjoy looking for the animals behind the jungle foliage. The book has a cute ending too.

Unfortunately, I typed up my whole list for today with comments only to accidentally lose the list into cyber space. I was able to reconstruct it for the most part, but I don’t have time to redo all the comments. (Some of the books on the list do have some grammatical and formatting issues.)

Thanks for all the kind comments, shares, and support!

Bethany

I agree with you on Mrs Postikins…even her name was creepy and her blue hair. I love a good book that teaches a moral lesson but this was just plain weird. Haha

    • The blue hair is definitely over the top. I’m glad she doesn’t go to church with me, since I’m almost always late (and I don’t even make waffles on Sunday.) : )
