I was overwhelmed by all the kind comments over the weekend. Obviously, you love the free ebook for kids lists, so I will keep them coming!
I have some more free ebooks for you this morning. But, first I want to answer some FAQ.
Where do you find out what books are free on Amazon? My source is no secret, and you can follow it too. I subscribe to the Kids Corner @ Kindle Nation Daily and check their site regularly. They list every book that is free, and their lists are automatically updated.
Why then should I follow your lists? What I try to do is: take that information, read the books, pick out the best, and share it in an easier format for you download. If you are busy, my goal is to make free ebooks easier for you to access.
When I checked your list, the books weren’t free? Authors promote their books for free for only a short amount of time (typically a day). I have no control over how long the book remains free. So, check the price BEFORE downloading. If you want to never miss out, you can keep an eye on the Kindle National Daily (mentioned above) or subscribe to my RSS feed to get instant alerts.
How often do you post lists of free ebooks? Since I have received such a great response, I am trying to post once a day or every other day. Since I am a mom with small children, there may be periods where I post less.
But I don’t have a Kindle? You can still download the free ebooks. Just download the free Kindle app on your electronic device.
Today, I am trying a new format for my list. Instead of listing everything here. I made a Listmania list on Amazon with some comments. Let me know if this new format works okay for you. It saved me a lot of time.
My favorite free ebook available today:

Thanks for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow, as I will be sharing my friendship activity for week #2 of the MeMeTales Readathon! (Have you not signed up for the Readathon yet? It’s another great way to read free ebooks.)

Thank you so much for this! I did not realize that I could get Kindle for my PC! Thanks to your list we have found books that the kids love. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you, Christine. I appreciate you leaving a comment. It makes my day to know that my blog has helped someone!
I really like the new list format! Thanks again!
Thanks, Beth. I appreciate the feedback!
We have had so much fun trying new books thanks to your list!! It is such a great way to “take books” on trips! The kids can read them in the car too! My kids are 5 and under so your list is perfect for them. My nephew is reading on at least a 2nd grade level. How can I find daily free ebooks for him? What would u recommend? Thank you!
Thanks so much! There are lots of free books available for older kids too. You could always follow a site like Kindle Nation Daily to see every book that appears each day. (http://kids.kindlenationdaily.com/search-for-free-ya-kids-kindle-books/) I might try listing some that look decent here too and see if others are interested as well. Would he be able to read E. Nesbit yet? I love her books, and they are all available for free. The Children and It would be a good one to start with.
Do you know of anything like this for the nook? I am always looking for new books for my kids.
There are some free books available on Nook, but not many. If you check today’s post, you will find a link to them! http://www.notwiddletwaddle.com/2012/07/kindle-for-kids-free-ebook-daily_11.html#
… I do really like the Listmania feature, it is easy to follow. As I’m getting more and more e-books, do you know if Amazon offers a way to organize them at all in the cloud (preschool, kids, teen, books for me), they are all jumbled together!
Thanks, Jen. I’m going to find out an answer for you as soon as I can!
