Today you should be able to find at least one ebook that your kids will enjoy because several promising ebooks have shown up in the Amazon Kindle store overnight. As always, I’ve read through these books and tried to only pick out the best for you. I also limit my list to picture ebooks to be sure that each ebook is perfect for a young audience! Thanks to each of you who has taken the time to share my lists. My blog is small, and each share helps make it worth my time to keep making lists for you.
If you are new to my lists, don’t forget to check prices before downloading. These books typically will remain free for only a short period of time. Also, you can read a Kindle ebook on non-Amazon devices by downloading their free app unto your PC or i-pad. For answers to other FAQ, read here.
Here are some of my favorite free ebooks for kids today:
What’s Up, Little Duck?: A Rhyming Level 2 Reader for Children
Even though this ebook is listed as an early reader, the length and photos really are perfect for a baby or young child. And it earns bonus points for the rhymes not being annoying!
Spot Penny the Penguin & Company: A Hidden Picture Book
The pictures in this ebook are bright and colorful. The hidden items are easy enough for young kids to find.
If I Had a Little Boat by Calee M. Lee
The illustrations in this ebook are cute. Kids will like the idea using their imagination to dream about what owning a boat would be like.
Ocean Creatures Library by Cindy Bracken
The photos are beautiful and large in this collection. Even my child (who doesn’t like non-fiction) wanted me to read all five books to him.
These books are only a couple of what is currently available that is worth downloading, here is my complete list: Free Ebook for Kids Alert
Thanks for stopping by today. I am always interested to hear any feedback on the books I recommend, because I want to make these lists work for you!
Don’t forget that you can also read free ebooks to your kids by signing up for the MeMeTales Readathon!

… thanks for posting. I’ve had my Touch and Ipad for a while and am just discovering the Kindle App (I always knew it was there, just hadn’t really looked into it) … I’m loving it. Trying to get my mother up to date too, as she loves free stuff and having books on hand for the grandkids.
